5-Mile Creek Construction

Employment

Ideal candidate:

    1. Do you love working with your hands and your head at the same time? Do you love being outside in some of the most beautiful locations in Northern Michigan? Are you tired of working for jerks or with jerks who don’t see the potential in you?
    2. How would you like to skip $50,000 – $100,000 in college debt by going to work in an industry that needs you and pays $20 an hour as a starting wage on up to $30 an hour?
    3. How would you like to be making $30K-$40K a year with little or no experience required?
    4. If you answered YES to any of the questions above, then 5-Mile Creek Construction may be the right place for you to work and begin a full-time career as a carpenter, painter, or laborer.
    5. What to expect from us: We work with subcontractors and full-time employees. We take care of our employees by handling your  payroll withholding providing workmen’s comp insurance, and 10 days of Paid Time Off (accrued over a calendar year). We are a relatively new company and eager to keep good workers, so we will work to build a benefits package that fits your needs.
    6. Highlights of Working With Us:

Great Wages. How many places can you make $20 an hour with little experience? We are currently looking for additional jobsite foreman who can help our business grow and earn up to $50,000 a year.

Flexible scheduling. Although we generally work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, five days a week, but we can work around your appointments and family needs most of the time. You can even set the days you want to work if you are part-time. We’ll work with you.

Camaraderie. Morale is really important to us, and we promote a work environment where everyone is treated with respect and decency. We work together as a team to support each other for successful projects. We strive to be a jerk-free workplace.

We can sometimes fine-tune our project type to match your strengths, so that you can see the progress of your handiwork every day you come to work.

Being outdoors. Even in the coldest of winter or the hottest summer days, there is something invigorating about being outside in Northern Michigan working in some of the most beautiful places on earth.

We’ll teach you. Rich is a former teacher and outdoor educator, so passing on knowledge that he’s gained over more than a decade working in the field of construction comes naturally. We love to work with experienced hands, but we’ll teach you skills and knowledge that you can take to the bank and use to keep your own house running smoothly.
